The obverse of the coin features the coat of arms of Somalia, which is a consistent design throughout the series and depicts a crowned shield supported by leopards with a field of horizontal lines and a single star in the center. On the reverse, the coin features the latest image of the African bush elephant from the Bavarian State Mint. This year’s design focuses on the head of the African bush elephant reaching for foliage in a tree.
