Invest in the future with the 2023 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf, now available for purchase from GoldClub Direct. This unique coin is the first-ever .9999 pure silver bullion coin, setting it apart from other silver bullion coins on the market. The Royal Canadian Mint is one of the most advanced mints in the world, allowing them to achieve this level of purity that most other silver bullion coins don’t have, with a purity of only .999.
Becoming the national symbol of Canada and feature on the country’s flag since 1965, the Silver Maple Leaf was introduced in 1988 and has been an annual release since then. In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint added top-of-the-line security features to the coin, including radial lines in the background and a micro-laser engraved maple leaf privy mark on the reverse. These details are only visible under magnification, making the coin virtually impossible to counterfeit.
Each 2023 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver and will arrive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coin will be packaged in individual plastic flips, protective tubes of 25 coins, or monster boxes of 500 coins, depending on your preference.
The obverse face displays an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch of Great Britain. Susanna Blunt designed this fourth-generation portrait of Her Majesty in 2003, and it will serve as the last effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on Canadian coins. The Queen is seen in right-profile relief, surrounded by the inscription “ELIZABETH II” and “5 DOLLARS 2022.”
On the reverse face, the sugar maple leaf, designed by Walter Ott in 1979. The five lobed leaf is often associated as the primary source of tree juice (maple syrup), a beloved sweetener that is used in many traditional Canadian dishes, like tree juice taffey! This design has been featured on every Canadian Maple Leaf coin since. The specifications of the coin are also included on the reverse.
