The 2023 1 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic is now available to purchase from GoldClub Direct.

Since the release of the series in 1989, the Philharmonic has continued to grow in popularity, becoming one of the most popular coin series in the world. Versions of the Austrian Mint have been running for over 800 years. This has led to a long-lasting tradition of producing excellent-quality, detailed products. The Philharmonic is minted in recognition of the renowned Vienna Philharmonic Symphony. The symphony is often seen as a symbol of the country, and the strong cultural connection its people have to music.

Each 1 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic will arrive to you in individual plastic flips. Multiples of 10 will ship in plastic tubes and multiples of 100 will ship in monster boxes of 10 tubes. Every coin will be in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and contain exactly 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold. The 1 oz Philharmonic is also considered legal tender in Austria, with a 100 Euro face value.

The obverse face of the Gold Philharmonic has remained the same since the coin’s release. It displays an image of the Great Pipe Organ found in the Musikverein. The Musikverein is the historic concert hall where the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performs in Vienna, Austria. Also included on the obverse are the specifications of the coin, the year of issue (2023), and the face value.

The reverse side highlights some of the important instruments used in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. These instruments include a cello, four violins, a French horn, a bassoon, and a harp.
