The obverse face of the 2022 1 oz Niue Gold Darth Vader Coin features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as New Zealand is part of the British Commonwealth. The Queen is depicted in right-profile relief, with the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “NIUE,” “2022” and “250 DOLLARS” surrounding the portrait.
