Description
The 2022 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is now available to purchase from GoldClub Direct.
This coin is unique from all other bullion coins in that it was the first-ever .9999 pure silver bullion coin. The Royal Canadian Mint is one of the most advanced mints in the world, allowing them to be one of only a few who are able to achieve silver coins with a purity of .9999. Most other silver bullion coins have a purity of .999.
The Silver Maple Leaf was introduced in 1988 and has been an annual release since then. In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint upgraded the coins to include top-of-the-line security features. These features include radial lines in the background and a micro-laser engraved maple leaf privy mark on the reverse. The details of the engraving are only visible under magnification.
Each 2022 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver and will arrive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Coins will ship in individual plastic flips, protective tubes of 25 coins, or monster boxes of 500 coins.
The obverse face displays an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch of Great Britain. Susanna Blunt designed this fourth-generation portrait of Her Majesty in 2003 and will serve as the last effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on Canadian coins. The Queen is seen in right-profile relief, surrounded by the inscription “ELIZABETH II” and “5 DOLLARS 2022.”
The reverse face features the national emblem of Canada, the sugar maple leaf. This depiction was designed by Walter Ott in 1979 and has been featured on every Canadian Maple Leaf coin since. The specifications of the coin are also included on the reverse.
