Description
The 1 oz South African Silver Krugerrand is a great investment product now available at GoldClub Direct.
In 1967, the South African Mint introduced the 1 oz Gold Krugerrand as the first modern bullion coin program. In 1980, they expanded the program to include fractional-ounce varieties. It wasn’t until 2017, the 50th anniversary of the Krugerrand, that the South African mint released the Silver Krugerrand. Its popularity in 2017 made the coin become an annual release from the mint.
Each 1 oz South African Silver Krugerrand contains 1 oz of .999 pure silver and will arrive in uncirculated condition. Some coins might show slight signs of wear and tear as these coins come from the secondary market. The year of issue will be chosen based on our inventory during the fulfillment process, therefore we cannot guarantee the year of issue or the condition of the coins.
The obverse face of the Krugerrand displays a portrait of Paul Kruger, the first elected president of South Africa. Paul Kruger is seen in left-profile relief with the inscriptions “SUID-AFRIKA” and “South Africa.”
The reverse face depicts a Springbok antelope, the national emblem of South Africa. Important specifications of the bar can also be found on the reverse.
